Plant hunting on Salt Spring Island

Salt Spring is definitely the biggest gulf island and for someone who has lived on Denman island, the number of people and infrastructure is a bit overwhelming.
That said, it is still beautiful and  pristine (well, maybe not ganges harbor).

Camping at Ruckle Park.
 We did most of our plant hunting at Mt. Erskine and found exactly what we were looking for;
Calypso bulbosa

Erythronium oregonum

This is my Archibald Menzies pose. The view is worth the steep ascent.

Sedum spathafolium

Making friends with moss...

Morchella deliciosa, white morel
